hey guys, just got my first turbo buick, and i'm having trouble with the trans. it seems if i drive it across town, at interstate speeds, the trans wants to stay in lock up mode, won't come out, even when pushing brake pedal.. i can feel the engine locked to the trans, on deceleration, and you can feel the trans downshifting as you are slowing down, when i go to take off again, shifts are much harsher than normal, and it stack shifts.. tv cable is adjusted properly, and it shifts and runs like a dream when it's cold, or just cruising through town, but once i take it on the interstate across town, it starts acting up. i will say it seems like it does not want to go into lock up when crusing, or car is cold... any ideas? friend of mine said his TB did the same thing, and it wound up being a bad governor.

I would bet its simply the TCC solenoid.

disconnect switch at brake pedal.

DONE! thank you... i can live without lockup for a week or so, till i get under there and replace the tcc solenoid.. i was under the impression the pump had to come out, to get the tcc solenoid out.
