cowl hood and gnx fender louvers

Just curious if any one has put these on a hot air and if it helped reduce heat from the engine especially the turbo. My turbo inlet gasket blew ounce and the heat from it burnt a hole into the hoodliner and then the heat put a quarter size bubble in the paint on the hood damn. This happened even with the heatshield. I replaced the gasket and bought a new hoodliner. The turbo started to burn a hole into the new hoodliner so I rivited a piece of metal to the heatshield but it looks like crap. I was woundering if there are any perfomance gains to be had by a cowl hood and the fender louvers since they should release a little heat from the engine?

mine is the exact same way, burnt hole and bubbling paint and all...does anyone make a cowl hood for these cars?

I emailed Mark Heuffman 2 weeks ago about making a bigger heatshield one that looks nicer than mine with that unpainted rivited piece of metal and he said it's possible but it would take some time. I was just curious because I saw a Chevy Malibu the other day with a cowl hood without the gauges in it and I thought that that might be an option but buying a hood and having it painted might cost alittle bit to much if there isn't any performance gain.

A friend of mine has a cowl hood on his Regal. Fit great, looks good. Not as good as the turbo regal hood though. I'll ask him tonight how much he paid, and where he got it from.

I asked this question before and no one replied. I thought I saw a vendor with a hood cut out for the front of the hood. That would be great cooling for the hotairs if anyone has seen this please let me know where.

new to tr's...wrecked my gn about 3 weeks ago. Have to replace hood and everything in front of fan...got lucky and didn't hurt the fenders but everything else is scrap. Tell me about the hood and cost and any pic's if possible.
