In case someone is interested (LOL):

"This is the car Chevy should have offered!!! It is an '88 Monte Carlo SS, that has an '87 Buick Grand National drive line in it!!! A 3.8 Turbo-charged V6, that is perfect!!! This engine setup in the Grand National would go 0-60 in 4.7 seconds in the late '80's, which was the fastest production car of the day, and is STILL VERY respectable today!! The Monte Carlo, to me, had the better styling between Chevy and Buick, but Buick kept this engine and drive line combination all for themselves. The car was purchased, having about 50,000 miles on it, and the drive line was gone through having about 4,000 miles on it since the rebuild. The paint is SHOW QUALITY, interior is like no one ever sat in it, and the chassis is super clean as well!!! This car is a 10, and would win many trophies if that is your bag! I might be interested in a trade, if you have a Shelby Cobra of equal value. This is a very unique and special car, your buddies will be jealous!!! Please call Michael 512-869-7965. "

Pictures are at the link....

I heard gm built a few but never produced them. They would never produce a car that would beat their flagship Corvette and cost 15k less. Gm built some cool stuff. I saw the 502 6speed camaro in the Chevy dealer I worked for back in 96. That was pretty cool looking. Never produced that one.

Not a bad looking car. He's alittle over optimistic though.:D

i think he fell into the trap of thinking that someone will be willing to pay him what he has into the car... this will be a lesson to him about how the only way to make money on a modified car is to be the guy that someone else pays to modify it..

The car is a "10"... I always love that line. Most are a "4" and you need to drink a "6" pack before you go look at them... Then you get the lines like..."well that's an easy fix" and "Wow..I never even noticed that before!!!"
Quick true story I have posted a few times years ago...
My first ever attempt to grab a Turbo Buick...I drove almost 4 hours to upper NY. It was a white 87 T that was a clone of GNX X-ray. Asking price was $28,000!!! This was 2007.
I get there and it was nice. I had done a little research on these cars as it was quoted in the ad as "having used real GNX parts". Well I opened the door and the interior was maroon and very "drab" to say the least. We took it for a ride...rode like a brick. We put it on a rack cause it leaked oil faster then I could put it in. He "never noticed it leaked before". It was fast but not as described.
I will say this...it did have real GNX rims...both -15 and -23 offsets were cast directly into the wheels. I did not know how important that was at the time. It had fender flares, vents, and that was it. Point is...after pointing out all that was wrong... I swear to God...the buy it now price went all the way down to $12,000!!! I am not lying.
My better half put the ax to me even thinking about it. I still wanted it, but to drop from $28,000 to $12,000 is a serious cry for help.
All true.
