I just bought an 87 T-Type with quite a bit of stuff done to it.My last GN was mostly stock. My question is concerning the y-hose going to the turbo, there isn't one.The 2 fittings on the turbo are connected via a rubber hose.I've heard some people say this helps with spool-up.The motor was built by Billy Duke in Dallas so I wouldn't think he'd do anything to slow it down. What are the advantages/disadvantages of this set-up?Thanks.

I'd expect that method to slow spool a little. I bet he set the boost using a HD actuator and just adjusting the actuator arm without interaction from the solenoid. The solenoid bleeds boost that would normally "push" the actuator. If your spool up is slow, the best addition would be a relief valve (Grainger) installed inline.
