There is a plastic piece that runs across between the window and the dash and has vent holes in it. Can this be removed without removing the dash, and if so can you see down into the area behind the dash?

Have a squeak in the dash when it gets baked by the sun. We have lubed all the bumpers as recommended elsewhere. But are 100% sure it is in the dash. It sound more like a plastic than a metal squeak.

I would just live with it before I pulled the dash, but is there was a easier way would take it

Thanks

Yes you can take it off without removing the dash.

Can you see down into the dash? Better with it off but still not great. There's a tray that's a part of the dash under it.
