Hey Guys,
Is the valve body the only major difference between the turbo car 200 and the regular passenger car 200? If I had just a reg Buick 200 and a BQ or BRF valve body would I be good to go?

Thanks

Could a tranny shop upgrade the rest? I know the valve body was a GM part, so can the other pieces be gotten from aftermarket suppliers?

It can be upgraded. You need the spacer plate, governor, valve body, intermediate servo, and larger regulator and boost valves. Everything is available either aftermarket or from GM.

Is the 200 worth all that trouble or is it better to just go with a 350?I have a good spare T-200 for$200. if anybody needs one.

I thought he was talking about a regular NA 3 speed 200 trans without the OD.

The original post is a bit ambiguous. One could take it that he wants to know if a GN 200-4R valve body will work in a T-200 unless some assumptions are made about his actual wording.

Sorry, I was talking an OD 200 from a NA car. I have a freind with a valve body, but was not aware of the other differences. It sounds easier to get a Turbo car 200 then swap out everything that is different. Sorry for being misleading. I am having Vince Janis do a 200 for my GN this fall. I was going to pick up this valve body and NA 200 tranny for a spare. Is it worth it? What is a valve body worth?

Thanks

Coach, no sweat! We just want to give you the most accurate information possible. The internet buffer can be somewhat of a barrier at times.
