I don't know much about DirectScan but I know it is the best scan tool around for the turbo buicks. I know everything it tells you, but can I change any of the parameters of the cars computer to adjust settings or do I need other components like a trans + and/or extender chip. Maybe I need a new chip customized to the correct settings. Thanks for any help.

If I understand your question correctly, DS is strictly a scan tool/logging device (albiet, a VERY powerfull one). You CANNOT change anything with it.
To change any operating parameters requires outside devices like Translator, Extender chips, Translator Pro, or different stand alone engine management systems like FAST, etc.

Or if using a conventional eprom, you'll need a chip burner and software to change parms in the eprom, such as spark, fueling, and the thousands or other parms.
