I made and connected the hotwire for the CCCI a couple of days ago but was only able to test it out on the road tonight, the temp was 20 degrees out with a wind chill of 9 degrees but the roads were dry.The idle and part throttle was good so was just cruising, i didn't see any downsides to the installation so far.
Before cutting any wires if you decide to do this be sure to disconnect the battery.
The wire i connected to on the ignition module connector plug was the pinout M it's the third wire from the left on the plug and it's pink with a black stripe it is one of 2 ignition power wires on the connector plug.
I cut the wire and soldered a section of wire to it then ran the wire to prong 87 on the relay.
The other wire the harness side i soldered a section of wire to it then ran it to prong 86 on the relay.
Prong 85 on the relay i connected a wire and ran it to the firewall for the ground.
Prong 30 on the relay i connected a wire and ran it to an inline fuse holder soldered it then i connected another wire to the other end of the fuse holder soldered it and ran it to the alternator stud.
The relay can be bought at advance auto parts for $5.99
12 gauge wire i already had but 3 feet is all thats required.
4 female connectors i already had it.
1 wire eye connector to hook to the alternator stud i already had it.
1 small wire eye connector for the ground connection on the firewall.
