Still getting knock at 18psi with the diy kit, how can i test it to make sure the alky is working?

By the looks at the stuff in your combo... you have a lot of tuning to do. And 18 lbs on your motor is not like 18 lbs on a stock GN.

Time to rethink your wheel, you'll need a lot of alcohol to tame the octane requirements your motor has. Turnon points need to be lower, alcohol volume needs to be increased..consider going to a multi-stage or progressive system. Along with timing reduction big time until you have the knock monster in a noose ;)

I've seen some cars use 14 degrees total using small kits..

What timing are you currently running? Do you have the runs recorded on direct scan?

I can help.. just need some more info.

As far as your original question, get a pressure guage and tee it to the pressure side.. Another way is to use an ammeter and see if its drawing current..if there is a load(nozzle) the pump will draw current..how much depends on nozzle and pressure setting.

I'll start you off with this.
