i got the most nasty phone call from this guy, talking about you and me and this community. But neal I would much rather him have called me then you. he was hell bent on the homosexual references and you wouldn't even beleive what he said, even if I told you but here is just 1 example of what he said; He pretended to be you, and be gay, then he changed his voice and pretended to be me, and gay...then went on voicing a whole entire gay sex act all over the phone with his friends yelling off cus words in the mean time.....I dont know if thats too much info, but thats not even half the stuff he talked about.....before he just hung up. Sorry i just felt like sharing what a great guy he is.

im not sorry I said anything in that thread; all this whole thing proved, was that I was right in who I choose to back!

Mark,

Sorry to hear you got an ear full from this guy. I appreciated the back up from you and others on the post in the parts for sale forum. To give some history on why I felt the deal was questionable. here goes:

1. He e-mailed me from his sister's account. It struck me as strange since everyone in the world has their own e-mail address but that in itself wasn't a red flag.

2. He wanted me to call him on his cell phone with an (818) prefix although he says he's in Palmdale. I checked a phone book and unless I missed something Palmdale isn't in the (818) area code.

3.He told me he bought an '87 with the engine in it as a parts car for his '83 T-Type. With no offence to the hot air carb guy's the an '83 would be a better parts car for a turbo intercooled car than the other way around.

4. He couldn't tell me if the engine ran as it was partially disassembled when he bought it so at the very least it's a grab bag of questionable value.

5. Within a minute of the start of our conversation he offered to make me a package deal on the engine, trans (which he said he didn't have in his ad) harness and ECM for $1500. At the very least he seemed over eager to sell this stuff.

Lastly I didn't feel like going on a wild goose chase to the High Desert to see what this guy really had so I decided to pass.

Once I posted that I didn't feel comfortable with the deal this guy lost his mind which makes me even more leary and confident I make the right call.

Thanks Again

Neal

Damn guys,

I went back over the the parts for sale forum and all I can say is that I'm absolutely amazed how fast that went down hill. I sure am glad I chose not to pursue that deal.

Holy smokes!
I just read the parts for sale post for the first time.

I was gonna use one of my best "Yo momma is sooooo..." jokes on him...but darn it all...he done got himself banned for life already cuz he's Mr. Potty mouth. So I'll save it for the next best opportunity.

Leave it to the boys in the Southwestern section to bring out the best in people.

Yeah Turbo chicken,750.H.P. is a real trouble maker. Who do you think started all those vicious rumours about me & sheep. He's part of this San Diego hit team that has had a reputation of stirring the pot. Theres is another piece of work who goes by Mac in SD & seems to be lying low lately. Like the dog that he is.

Chronic trouble maker

Thanks for the vote of confidence Lou.

I saw that he finally posted the (supposed) VIN.... Did anyone run a carfax on it? If so, I'm curious having been the victim of a theft of a GN. Looking at the engine pics, it didn't look to be mine because of the stock fuel pressure regulator and stock intercooler neck (I had a Dutt neck).

Just the same I'm curious how the carfax came back.

EDITED- OOPS! Just realized the VIN was a joke... I hadn't looked at it closely until now... What an a-hole.

I'm still suspicious, just said that hes parting out the 83 t-type cause he doesnt have the title??
Suspicious that it is the same person, or suspicious that there is something fishy with the car for sale?
