Down side to running a cutout open?

Arwe their any downsides to running the cutout open for long periods of time? Also off topoic a little I think I am having converter lock up when in OD on the street ant wierd times. The car will feel like a manual when you let off the car just bouncs on the rmp of the motor. It feels wierd. I was wondering what could bring this along.

I woulnt think it would hurt....

You might want to replace the TCC selenoid in the trans... sounds like it is locking up prematurly... Happened to me last year.(easy fix)!

Only downfall is the soot from the exhuast over a period of time.This is only if you like it as clean under as on top.
