I was looking though the Kirban book & noticed they offer a two piece downpipe. I have been seeing that alot of people are using a THDP, but that is a two piece unit also, correct? Is the THDP that much better of a DP for the price? Thanks for the help!

THDP

The Kirban down pipe, I believe, replaces just the stock down pipe. A Terry Houston, or a Mease, replaces both the downpipe, and the cast elbow on the discharge side of the turbo. They have a bigger "puck" to allow boost control at higher flows than the stock elbow will handle. I'm not sure, think the THDP is one piece, not two. I'm sure someone else will chime in, thought, lots of folks have tried different downpipes.

THDP is a one piece design. Some people have had trouble with leaks on a 2 piece pipe. Also the kirban pipe uses the stock elbow which is where most of the restriction is in the first place. If your on a budget just port the stock elbow and get the 2 piece but if u have a lil bit more cash to burn save up and get the THDP or even the Mease 3" which people are saying is a very nice piece. All depends on what u want from your car.
