Downshifting...normal Or What??

WHEN I HAVE THE SHIFTER IN 3RD,RUNNIG AT 30-40MPH.
I DAM NEAR FLOOR IT AND
THE TRANNY DOWNSHIFTS AND MY RPM'S ARE WAY UP OVER 4000.
LIKE IT SHIFTS INTO 1ST. I HAVE AN UNKNOW SHIFT KIT,
(COULD BE B&M) AND TRANNY HAS 98K MI.
WHAT COULD IT BE,OR IS IT NORMAL?

when using a grand national brf valve body and governor with the tv cable set properly and a 3.42 rear end you will gett a 3 / 1 downshift up to about 30 mph.this is ok unless the engine goes over 4500 rpms.if it gets it at half throttle you may have lower than normal governor pressure or too much tv limit valve spring pressure or tv adjustment.if you like you can send us the valve body for a trip to the answermatic valve body dyno for a small fee,or let us know if you need help to calibrate it .thats free at www.ckperformance.com

THANKS CHRIS, I THINK,AND I HOPE ITS EXACTLY THAT.
I JUST DONT HAVE THE $$$ AND THE OPTION OF TAKING THINGS OFF MY CAR SINCE I DRIVE IT DAILY,SO I'LL
HAVE TO WAIT TO GET THAT CHECKED OUT.
