I forgot to mention when I purchased my WE4 that there was no driveshaft. DO i have to have a driveshaft for the 2004r or can I use any out of any Gbody? Will one out of a 700 work or is the spline and length diiferent?

it must be from a g body with an 8.5 rear as it is about 1 inch shorter than the 7.5 rear.or get the 7.5 one and shorten it.

so I can use a three speed or four speed as long as it's the same length right? What about the splines are they different or all the same?

Nows ur chance to chance nothing.

Do a search for driveshaft companies and u might even see pics of the carnage on one of the members cars after the driveshaft let loose and tore up the trans, exhaust and floorpans. Therefore! ;) I suugest u take the measurements from ur car as directed and order a new shaft that will hold up to whatever u throw at it. Should set u back about $350.00.

Broken Mule

Well the car's in pieces engine wise and the rest of it is kind of rough, although little rust! Anyways the engine needs rebuilt due to the bad bearing and the car is all stock aside from the drop in k@n and the catback flowmaster exhaust. On top of all that there is no overtime at work so I don't have money just to throw around so I gotta make it count when i do spend money on the thing. YES a new driveshaft would be great and has crossed my mind but I don't think it's a necessity as it will be a while before any REAL power will be put to the ground.

drive shaft

I have one out of my old we-4, it didnt fit the elky, too long? but it is sitting in the garage. If you need it, its yours for uhhh...$30 plus shipping?

WHERE u located? If I can't track one down i'll get back to ya. Got any leftover stuff from your WE4? Need lots of stuff for mine. A RADIO DELETE PLATE WOULD BE NICE!
