fans

Will these fans plug right up to my harness, well at least one and the other one on a switch i guess. One more thing do they come with plugs if not compatible to gn's. If everything is ok i will take them paypal give me a total
:D

i didnt want to turn this in to a tech session as i posted this numerous times on the boards
no they dont plug into stock , you will need to trim the housing ears off to fit between the radiator end tanks

you have to wire them as you desire

both fans are wired together through the one connector that has three wires
one is ground , the other two are feeds
power on one feed wire and you have low speed on both fans
power on both feed wires and you have high speed on both fans
there is also a connector between the nfans that can disconnect if you only want to run one fan or to control it seperately

for free
if you can do simple wire splicing, i left a few inches of wire on the engine harness side connector
you can cut the GM connector off your old fan and use that to make a plug and play adapter ... i can include a connector off an old fan if you need

or next cheapest gbodyparts.com sells a caspers PNP adapter from the valeo plug to stock (no wiring required) GBodyParts.com Online (26.00), i beleive they sel them seperate not sure
i have a used caspers PNP adapter ill sell for 15.00

or racetronix sells a nice dual fan hotwire kit (65.00) designed for these fans that replaces the valeo fan connector with a gm connector (needs soldering of terminals on wire ends and assembly of the connector) that fits your stock harness so you retain all factory controls of the fans just now you have two fans with no strain on your old harness
, if you had a kirban hi/low or manual fan switch that would still work
Racetronix - DFH-G7 - 86-87 Turbo Buick Dual Fan Harness
, i run this kit in both of my cars and beleive it to be the best setup out there

caspers also sold a PNP hotwire kit for these fans which is probably the ones gbodyparts sells with their higher priced valeo fan kits

if you're handy and understand relays and wiring you could build a diy hotwire but youd probably spend more building it unless you can get relays for cheap (junkyard)

send me a pm if interested
