Dust Shield???

Is the trans dust shield the same on all 200r4 or do I have to find one off a buick??

Yes, it's the same. I got a plastic one from GM when I ordered a replacement.

I would check a local junk yard (Sorry… Auto Recycler).

you dont need one, unless you drive through mud and stuff a lot.

i have not had one on my car for years. it helps with heat disapation as well.

I know a TR guy that says they tend to retain heat and the torque converters run cooler without them.

FWIW...sounds plausible...
