There are many ways to delete/deactivate the EGR.
Remember that the EGR does not activate during "performance runs", i.e. WOT.
Therefore, if the EGR is not leaking, it should not result in "performance gains".

Reason I asked was because I have intake off for porting and noticed that the inside of intake where the turbo go's,shows an uneven bump in the middle that would disrupt the flow.Especially if egr is open blowing air in or against the turbo blow. Thanks
my intake had the EGR "hump" ground almost to a point (smooth rouned top, ported polished and all that) with the EGR plugged up with what seems to be JB weld.
