Odd. The way I understand it a shop can't disable a working emissions system but they can work on one that's already disabled. ESP since I think federal law states you only have to maintain emissions systems for 10 years.

Have you thought about rubber mounting the tips with something like a sway bar end link bushing?

In Michigan, if your car came with emissions shit on it from the factory, and you show up with none on your vehicle, they can't work on it. I've been turned away from 4 shops so far that all said the exact same thing-I can't touch it. I don't wanna lose my license.

Odd. In 1989 a Mazda shop put a remanned engine in the RX7 I drove in high school. It had a full aftermarket exhaust system on it with 0 emissions. The shop said they could do the work since it was already there, but they couldn't defeat working systems. And Atlanta at the time was an emissions area.

Thought you were "from Boston". Too bad your in Michigan. A trip here to Nashua and you could be easily fixed up. No emission stuff needed on older cars.

I think I've found a way to hook it up. Ordered some shit from summit. DAM their shipping is fast. Going underneath the car now to investigate.
