Finally :D the mufflers have rusted through on the T-Type. But my dad had the pipe between the cat and mufflers replaced with a stainless piece at Midas. So, should I just buy myself some awesome muffs and custom bent tail pipes or just break down and buy the Hooker kit? On the Hooker kit, can I order it with my choice of GN or Monte SS tailpipes???? If I can get the Monte SS tailpipes then I might cut them short and add some cool lookin tips......hmmm....what's the opinion of the almighty TR boys???

Well, the Hooker kit comes with the pipes exiting in the stock location. I suppose you could order a mixed set from them, that has the front part for the TR, and the back half for an SS Monte, but why would you want to do that? I've seen a couple of SS type exhaust systems on GN's and T's through the years, and although they're not horrible, they don't seem to go with the GN's overall asthetic look, IMO. Anyway, they're both GM "G" body cars, so I would simply call Hooker and see what they tell you they can do. However, I don't know that you can buy directly from them, and I'm doubting Summit or Jeg's will be willing to do a mix-n-match setup like that. But,,, who knows, you may be surprised.
Overall, I would suggest going with the designated Hooker system designed for the car, (but w/ duals, and not the stock single muff in the back). This way it will look good, sound good, fit good, and you'll be set.

If you already have a stainless "Y" pipe, Order some good mufflers and just have a muffler shop bend you some tailpipes of your choice out of 2.5" tubing. Shouldn't cost more than $200 total ($300 if you buy stainless mufflers)

Even a non mandrel bent dual 2.5" system with good mufflers will be fine deep into the 11's.

I have an entire exhaust system including some turbo mufflers on it with the stainless steel SS pipes. I can even get pics for you. I put on a hooker and aerochambers and so far like it alot. If you want this system You can have it for 40 bucks plus shipping. Let me know if you are interested as I need to get it out of my garage. You will need a couple of hangers and maybe some clamps. Let me know if interested.
