Exhaust system

Has anyone used the Hooker cat back exhaust system on their 84 or 85s? The Hooker catalog lists it for 86-87, but ATR's catalog lists for their kits for 84-87. I think it will work, but I just wanted to make sure before I order the Hooker kit for my 84 GN.

i have the hooker exhaust on my 84 gn it fits pretty well, the mufflers are the same as dyno max super turbos.

It will work.
If you use the 84 cat it might need some modification.
It's made for the 86-87 cat.
I have it on my 85 GN.

I also have the hooker exhaust system on my car. It fit in great. But it fits in a lot easier without the cat. since its designed for an 86/7. I had a muffler shop remove the cat. They cut about 2'5" off of the test pipe that comes in the kit, and welded it to the downpipe. Everything else just bolts into place. Thats probably the easiest way to do it, because the dp on our cars is not as big as the 86/87's.

I have had it on for 4 years and it works great.You will have to modify to get the stock cat to fit.Would definety buy it again,it would be in stainless.
