Factory CD/Radio

I have a factory CD/radio deck from a 91 park avenue in my 87 GN. Everything has been working great for a while now until yesturday, when I put a CD in, it will attempt to try and play it and then it will eject it back out. Does anyone know what could be the problem or is it just worn out?

My 93 Park ave CD player will do that if it is too hot or too cold outside. For Alabama it may be just the heat. Try with A/C on or does it work at night when cooled off?

The car is kept inside where the temp. is not to hot or cold. I think its just worn out. I might try and find a local repair shop to look at it, the dealership said they would have to send it out for repair somewhere up north. I know I could put a after market cd player in, but I like how this factory one looks like it came with the car if you know what I mean. Thanks for you help.
