Brick can chime in here with BD's setup for that pass. There seems to be some discussion as to what turbo/size tire he is on, and I have heard mention of a possible 4-link. But DAMN thats fast!!!

The car uses a full wolfe racecraft stock suspension.
The rear end is a stock ford 8.8 in narrowed a little bit and has 3.55 gears and 33 spline axles. I have not been able to get his turbo size. Based on the 144mph in the 1/8 I would have to say between 91mm and 106mm. Remember this thing weighs about 3450lbs!!!

Sweet pass!!!

Looks like it could have gone faster without the little stutter/spin out of the hole.

Thanks for linking the video. I like anything that is made to go fast.

The little "stutter/spin" was most likely intended. There is no way in hell, you can just drop the hammer and have all the power that car produces hit the pavement, on a drag radial. After watching the WSN in Orlando, you realize that launching these kinds of cars on drag radials, is not only a function of a tuned suspension, but some individual talent with the peddle also..

I wasn't sure if it was intended or not. Usually those cars come out slow(this is a relative slow... still pretty fast) then just sh#t and get. Definately was some driving there. Looked like he corrected a little because the front came down just a little. Very impressive.

I'm sure 7's will be in the near future for the drag radial class.

Had to replay it 5 times. went by too quick. ha ha ha. Great run, and looked like a great launch to me, kept it down and kept is staight. Power to the pavement. Mark

I haven't seen the vid but it is about time he cleaned the mud from his cleets and knocked one out of the park. This makes the 7 second door a bit more crowded. Paul stepped up his Supra again but not quite as fast as Dwayne.

So it looks like the closest contenderes are:
1) Dwayne
2) Paul
3) Mike pic from the race http://www.mustangweekly.com/2003/October/wsn/WSN-07.asp

It's just a matter of time now..... hehee

If Mike Dees gets his suspension sorted out, he will be the fastest of the bunch. I know he has posted the best MPH out of all of them by far (it was in private testing, so it doesn't count towards the record).

Mike Dees is selling his car.
He bought an Outlaw 10.5 program complete from someone.
Someone else might be running Mike's car if he can get over the stigma of it being a mustang.

He could always paint it black and put Grand National emblems on it :D (That'd be my guess anyways)

I wonder who that is??:D ;)

He has Paul beat by .06 seconds so far. I am rooting for Paul and his little 3.0 liter to be the first in the 7s on Drag Radials.....:)

Yes, but Mike Dees has them both covered by 3-4 mph if he can figure out how to hook his big turbo.... I'd like to see him do it before both of them ;)

It's going back to Cali, Cali, Cali.
It's going back to Cali... naw I don't think so
