Just bought an 87 firebird. Only $700 bucks. Just needed muffler, tires and flip up headlights(still working on that one).
It just has the 2.8 mfi v6. So it is very slow. But I was amazed at just how well the car handles. Car is in great shape, just slow.
So it is going to be getting a new motor. The easist thing to do would be 350. But I would love to put in a 3.8 buick turbo.
So here are my concerns:
1. Can the 3.8 be bolted to a 700r4, (adapter-BOP to Chevy?)
2. Aftermarket exhaust available for the TTA? If so, should work for me right?
3. Motor mounts - Available for TTA? Should work for me?
I know the ecm would have to be switched, are there any other electrical/sesor concerns.
