Order new ones from GBodyParts.com. Absent that if you can find a rust free Gbody local then you can cut them out from there.

Wow didn't know they would be $440! Looks like I won't be getting them replaced this year. Thanks for the info though bud

Yeah they are pricey, other vendors may carry them but you won't see them for less than about $220.00 per side.

BadAssGN:

I've started a similar process on my car and have a question for you. It looks like you had some rot in the portion of the body where the rear seat sits. If so how did you repair it?

I mean I know you welded in a new piece but was it difficult to fit up?

Greg

Those Pics are not my car, I did replace a section in my car as a leaky t top got me.

I have welded lots in the past, your best bet for that section is to find a Donor car to work with.

When working on the passenger area at the back keep in mind there is a spot where the fuel lines fun between the floor and the frame.

Okay thanks. I'm hoping that when I get that section cut out that the fuel line (feed) that crosses over from the DS to the PS but is covered by a plate underneath will be visible. I want to see if I can replace that line without having to lift the body.

X2 on the donor car

I found a Gbody Cutlass guy in the area that would cut whatever I needed. He had a complete floor including the rear seat pan for $175. All rust free with seat & console mounts. I ended up passing cause all I needed was the rear pan. Already had the repro floors - & the friend that has the body shop says he believes they originated @ Sherman.

Also - new to me? - there are repro 81-88 Monte 1/4s and more out there now, so maybe there's hope for some Regal exterior metal down the road. Wishful thinking I guess.

also saw jc whitney has lower quarter patches for 78-80 regals-makes me want that 79 turbo coupe a little bit more:eek:

I've been looking around for sheet metal for '85-'87 Buick Regals these last few weeks and have to say we are getting screwed.

If you have a Chevy (almost any year) you in 7th heaven as there are so many aftermarket/repo panel replacements it's not funny.

That's a thought. Honestly I wish I had somewhere to put a rust free roller. It's the only way. Then you could cut/pull whatever you need as needed and when your done call the salvage yard and they'll come pick up the rest. For free on less.

It would also cost way less than buying parts new or otherwise.

Keeping on the original subject, I did order mine last week and it got here pretty quick. Upon opening the box I quickly found out I was shipped the wrong side. :(
