My T is not garaged....unfortunate, yes. Private driveway, no garage. So I went out and bought what I thought was a nice cover for it. I went down to the local boutique (Pep Boys) to get some detailing spray I needed and saw their car cover section.
Ended up purchasing a Coverite Premiumtech Cover for $120.
I am less than thrilled with it. I am keeping it for now because it does protect the car from the elements for the most part. It is NOT 100% waterproof, and it left some residue on some corners of my car that was a pain in the ass to get off pre-show last night.
Are any covers 100% waterproof? Even Coverking's say "virtually waterproof", same with California's covers.
The cover fits well, and is fleece lined. I remember camping as a kid and using seam sealer on tents and a spray to keep the rain tarp waterproof. Im considering just doing this treatment to the exterior of the cover I have instead of dropping $300 on a Coverking that is "virtually waterproof" but still lets some water through...
Thoughts? Because with the price difference I can my LT1 MAF and translator that's been on my list
and just treat my cover....
