I had a problem with the car falling on its face after pulling for about 2 seconds and I installed a FP gauge and the pressure is not climbing with boost. It stays at about 40 when I'm at 20 pounds of boost. What should I look at?? I installed an XP pump and it was working fine until now. Should I change the filter?? Could it be the Fuel Pressure Reg.?? Thanks

I assume the vacuum line from the TB block is connected to the FP regulator. The only other thing besides a bad regulator is maybe the gasket between the TB and the vacuum block is installed backwards or upside down??? And another thing that popped into my mind would be maybe somewhere along the line someone (for some unknown reason) put a check valve in the vacuum line to the regulator. Does FP go up a couple pounds when you disconnect the vacuum hose from the regulator with the car running? It should. I would think that even if the filter was pretty clogged or the FP was on it's way out that you would still see pressure come up some under boost then probably slowly fall off as you stay in the boost...

I just checked the regulator and I swapped out a different one and it does the same thing. Also when I turn the car off the Fuel pressure drops down to zero. I checked for leaks around the regulator and it is good. Where else should I check and how can I isolate where the pressure is going?? Thanks Need all the help I can get right now.

First things first. Where exactly does the vacuum hose connected to the FPR go to???

Exactly?

Check to make sure the vacuum line to the regulator doesn't have any cracks or leaks in it. I've also seen where the metal vacuum line from the vacuum block is either plugged with rust or kinked.

The problem was with the rubber hose that connected the fuel pump to the sending unit. The hose swelled up and the clamp came loose so that was where all of the pressure was going. Thanks for all of your help.
