The worthless pieces of sh*t. Now that coalition forces have seized Bagdad, and control the majority of Iraq, that sh*tbag Chirac is trying to wedge France into the rebuilding process under “the legitimacy of the United Nations”. France and Germany are nervous that, after years of continuing to trade with Iraq during UN sanctions, they’ll not only lose trade revenue, but be excluded from the rebuilding process.
France and its people were totally against a coalition invasion of Iraq, and haven’t lifted a finger to help or made a single sacrifice, but watch and see as they fight for their “entitlements” in post-war Iraq. Aside from the financial impact that the U.S. and Britain will share, the loss of life for coalition fighters is far greater. Watch in the coming weeks as France and Germany downplay the significance of U.S. and British commitments to Iraq’s freedom.
These countries stood on the sidelines, chastising Bush and Blair, then in the 11th hour, they want their piece of the pie.

typical, I'm not surprised. They (the french) do want to get in there and sell the new government more SAM missiles and Exoset surface to Air Missiles.

Yeah, they have always had honest motives... yeah...

If England and Blair weren't involved I'm sure GWB would tell them exactly what he and we think about the two faced lying you know whats.

Freakin' hypocrites.

I say we tell anyone in the UN that didn't contribute to the coliation forces, to stay the F)uck out of Iraq. We went over and took over, so that Oil and whatever else is over there, is rightfully ours.:o

I wouldn't say the oil is rightfully ours... remember, we're not there to colonize. The oil belongs to the Iraqi people.. not that snotbag that used that money to build his palaces and crap. Let those people have their land back... I'm sure gratitude will come in the way of letting us have the contracts for rebuilding. Heck.. we're there now.. the French and Germans can go to heck with trying to weasel their way back into the loop after they weaseled their way out!

Gotta run off to work now.. think I'll stop by McDs and pick up some freedom fries. :)

France has HUGE loans outstanding with Iraq - they just want to make sure they get paid back. They also have huge investments in the oil fields - so who is the real blood for oil country? France!

I say let the rifle droppers pay for the rebuilding process with their own money and by themselves!

And all those countries are still saying that the war was unnessary, that diplomatic means would have worked. I can't believe that they think that Saddam woulds have just left.

TIME TO PICK UP THE TAB

Minus a 150-200 Billion-dollar withdrawal from Iraq's oil $$ to repay American taxpayers for Operation Iraqi Freedom, their oil is their oil. Their oil can also pay for their internal improvements.

That's quite cheap, actually. Afterall, what's it worth to have a dictator's boot off your neck?

They can never repay America for the lives and wounds of our selfless Servicepeople, so covering the cost of materials (and not the labor) is a miraculous bargain for them.

It's the very least Iraq can do, with our helpful guidance and encouragement.

Or would have become a nice guy/leader for his people.

the best way for the germans, french, and russians to help the iraq "reconstruction" they are now so pompously "insisting" they be a part of, is for them to forgive all the debts & payments the iraq government owes them.

and what's the chance of that happening? probably about the same as a snowball in hell.

germans, french, and russian duplicity & hypocrisy is despicable.

"TO THE VICTOR BELONG THE SPOILS"

Marcy, William Learned

Marcy, William Learned, 1786–1857, American politician, b. Southbridge, Mass. He settled in Troy, N.Y., where he practiced law and, after serving in the War of 1812, held local offices. A Democrat and a partisan of Martin Van Buren, Marcy entered the political group known as the Albany Regency, of which he soon became a dominant figure. He served as state comptroller (1823–29) and as justice of the state supreme court (1829–31) before he entered (1831) the U.S. Senate.
**************************************************

There he made a famous speech supporting the nomination of Van Buren as minister to England: his defense of Van Buren's methods of patronage with the claim that ** “to the victor belong the spoils of the enemy” ** supposedly gave rise to the term “spoils system.”

**************************************************

Marcy served (1833–39) as governor of New York for three terms and was a member (1840–42) of the Mexican Claims Commission. He was Secretary of War (1845–49) under President Polk and conducted that office efficiently during the Mexican War. He had drifted into opposition to Van Buren and headed the Hunkers, a faction of the New York Democratic party. The peak of Marcy's career was reached when he served as Secretary of State (1853–57) under President Pierce.

HTH :) :)
