FS: Stock Turbo Exhuast/Downpipe flanges

Hi everyone. I recently designed some stock turbo downpipe flanges for one of your fellow board members, and he said there may be some interest here on tb.com for some. I figured i'd offer them to you guys.

I have them waterjetted, and can have them made from any material you desire. The ones i'm having cut for your board member, UR50Slo, are 3/4" mild steel. Thick, but makes for easier construction of the flapper/puck.

Typically i make downpipe flanges from 1/2" 304 stainless or 1/2" mild. The 3/4" milds are $80 shipped. 1/2" mild are $70 shipped, and 1/2" stainless are $75 shipped.

Here is a picture of the design in test cut form:

as you can see i've smoothed out the flange and enlarged it from the stock housing, to allow for porting of the turbo housing. But retained plenty of space to weld your piping too when making a downpipe.

Here is the view from the other side of the housing. Not too much will stick out, so it won't be an eyesore either.

So thats what i'm offering. If you would have any needs for changing the design of the flange, i can do that for no extra charge also. I have a GN exh. housing in m posession, so i can easily test fit anything you'd want to change.

Also i'm always willing to make other similar parts/flanges/brackets if anyone has a need. I've made plenty of things, and like to add items to my repetoire.

How thick do you want it? And how big do you want the main and wastegate openings to be? In that picture, it only looks to be a 2.5" diameter opening. And the wastegate opening only looks to be 1" diameter.

I don't know what "THDP" is. I assume TH is a brand and its a downpipe? (sorry, not a GN guy..)

I tried to align the ebay picture w/ my flange CAD that i know fits, and the two openings just weren't lining up that well. Heres how the flange *could* look, but i really need to know the size of the holes. Or if you can send me the pipe i can make a flange that'll be about 100% match

I would like the flange to be 2.5-3.0". THDP... stands for the maker "Terry Houston" downpipe. Sorry, I thought your were a buick guy & had the measurements!!!

I wish I had an actual template to give you. The wastegate is usually about 1" and sometime bigger... but I do not know how large the exhaust outlet is. My car is winter store so I can't get at my car.

I'll see if I can make a template or something for you.

Well if thats the case, than I have no problem making the part for you guys. Can someone either make a template of the flange or send me the pipe. I can make it line up pretty much perfectly if I can get my hands on the pipe. :redface:

Or even a few pics w/ a straight on shot of the flange would be helpful if anyone has some of those floating around.

Shouldn't be a problem. Nobody that I know of just makes and sells the flange. Would be a good idea for making custom downpipes for different applications.

Well i'll definitely NOT be making entire downpipes. I know i wouldn't pay for my welds...wouldn't expect someone else too :redface:

Also, unless someone just needs to space out the thdp as possibly requested earlier....its simple enough for me to just design the flange myself based on the GN exhaust housing. Which doesn't step on anyones toes/design, just adds another option for you guys.

those look nice windmill. real close to what i was going to offer. What kind of price are you asking? And any reason why you only have mild steel?

Here is two pictures of the flanges I just got from Mike.

There is a nice flat spot there where the paddle will go and it's nice and thick. I'll be using these when I make my Hybrid downpipes!
