Let say you have cam and the intake valve opens at XXdeg@0.050

Would it be of any benefit to have the injector start spraying when the intake is open @0.050”, and the piston is moving down i.e. the charging event has started?

(Lets assume in this example that the Boost/BP issue has been negated and injectors are big enough to release sufficient fuel to maintain target AFR. :wink:)
 
it can, but mostly from what ive read its for better idle/drivability on massive injectors
