Fellas,
I need some help! A good friend of mine bought a 1986 buick T-type and were having a bit of a problem getting it running. The guy he bought it from stated that it died on him at a redlight and hasnt run since. He then went on and stated that he replaced the fuel pump and wired it direct..(not good)
We crawled up under this puppy last night checking on the work that he claimed he had done. We did narrow it down to under the hood.
It is getting fuel to the regulator and through it.... we put a fuel pressure gauge on it and it is reading zero. you can hear the fuel bypassing around to the other side and back to the gas tank... I was hoping one of you guys might have run into this problem and could tell us what is making it bypass route back to the fuel tank.
Very frustrating!
We managed to get it to fire up by squirting gas in the throttle body.
All replies greatly appreciated.
