Fuel pump relay questions?

Hey I am curious as to what's the difference in the fuel pump relays from. 84-85. To the 86-87
I was just curious since they have different part numbers
Can I use a 84-85 in a 86-87?
Since that's what I have

It should work fine. Worst case it won't work, it's just a switch basically.

i tried it seems to work fine, any reason the fuel pump would stay running while in the on position, before start, I know they usually just prime then turn off then turn on again after starting.

Are the green plug and black plug behind the alternator plugged together? They should not be and that could cause it.

no they arent, but this is a custom setup anyway, its my hybrid car I just got going, its probably the relay in the car not the GN one thats staying on

Ah, you made a DIY hotwire. Check to see if yours is like this one, it should work correctly:

The signal wire from the stock relay should be the "ignition switch" wire.
