I have had this car since 1990, done all the basic upgrades and then some. I installed Razors alky kit a few years back along with a chip from Eric i believe. The problem occured last year while doing a few laps for charity at Texas motor speedway, i would drop back as far as they would let me then run it up to about 135 before having to shut down due to running up on the cars in front. It was running about 17 pounds on the turbo with no knock according to the scan master. Coming off the track the car seemed to be running real rich. We had to park and wait a little while before we could leave, It took a lot longer turning over to fie off but did start and ran decent the 50 miles home. I parked it in the garage and forgot about it for a while. I went out to start it and the fuel pump will not shut off and then i noticed fuel coming out the turbo elbow where the flapper that controls the puck is. Not having a clue i sent the accufab fuel presssure regulator rebuilt since it was probably 10 plus years old. Re installed it and still the fuel pump continues to run. I have not tried to start it due to the fuel running out the turbo elbow. I decided to pick up a fuel pump relay to see if that would shut the pump off after a few secnds. It did not. I have a guage on the fuel rail and it shows it is building and holding 40psi. The car has 125k on it, i bought it about 1990 with 40k on it and over the years did all the basic upgrades myself. Walbro fuel pump, hot wire, green stripe injectors, kenne bell air intake, valve covers, bigger oil filter, razor alky kit, bigger intercooler elbow ( brand escapes me for the moment) ported doghouse from some forum member that was always in the doghouse years ago ( maybe his name was Kieth?), valve springs, scanmaster, boost guage, ported elbow, bigger downpipe, some trans work by kenne bell along with a different transpan and some other stuff i am forgetting. So what did i do to my wifes car. ( she claims it is hers)

Um that's not fuel coming out the exhaust. It's water.

Unplug the fuel relay see if the pump still runs. Sounds like someone jumped the circuit.

RL

Also, could be the oil psi switch stuck as well. Its low on the pass side front of the engine and has 3 wires going to it

The fuel pump is still running without the relay plugged in. The hotwire kit has been in for years without any issues. I installed the alky kit a few years back and the car has been about 6k miles since then. I appreciate the ideasas electrical issues seem to drive me nuts. I perfer parts to be broke into 2 pieces for easy detection.

pulling the fuse on the hotwire kit at the alt. turns the fuel pump off. It has been a long, long time since i did the upgrades that i do not remeber a relay on the hotwire kit. I have a 3 ring binder of all the stuff i did to this car along with the manuels, diagrams and what not. The only issue is where i put the binder at this moment.

hotwire relay gets mounted up under the rear bumper by the back of the fuel tank....blue bosch relay.....

I bypassed the hot wire kit and the fuel pump will not shut off. It also looks like the oil my have a quart or 2 of fuel in it. No signs of water in the oil or oil in the radiator.

did you possibly plug a 12 volt source into the fuel pump prime wire under the hood? about the only thing other than some other short to voltage in the + circuit of the pump, or a stuck oil pressure switch like someone else mentioned...

I am starting to lean toward the oil pressure switch, can that be bypassed temporary? I have traced the hotwire kit from front to back and saw no rubbing, wire issues.

the relay could be stuck...makes me think so because you said the pump stops running with the inline fuse from the alternator unplugged....you can by pass the o press switch by unplugging it....

Double check the fuel pump test conector behind the alternator, if it is energized with a 12 volt source the pump will continue to run. I have seen someone plug the wire for the hood light into this just because both were hanging out in the open and unconnected. It will cause the pump not to shut off.

should be at the connector for the oil pump switch
it has three terminals 12v (switched by ignition) , a feed to pump and the feed to the oil lamp in dash
the rubber connector falls apart with oil contact and when the oil switch is removed for a oil sender for a gauge the wires are left to hang or taped up , the rubber breaks down and the terminals can make contact
a shorted pump supply to the 12v power at the oil sender switch would cause the pump to run on key on and stay on as long as the key is in the ignition position
if the oil switch is still installed and connected it could be defective as its supposed to only provide power to the pump when oil pressure is above 4psi

most hotwire kits allow you to bypass the hotwired relay at the trunk connection , swap the connections to run off the body harness and if it stays on you've eliminate the hotwire as the issue

as for fuel coming out of the turbo ...never going to happen
condensation from burning gasoline that has a fuel odor yes
