It's a tuning aid.
It's not a replacement for a drag strip.

The error depends on you combo, so will vary from car to car.

I have lots of runs on one.
Turn the boost down a little so you don't blow the tires off, and it can be a huge aid in launching and all but the last bit of WOT tuning.

When everything is set up right, they are right on the numbers with the actuall time. Took it to the track and in about 5 runs the biggest difference between the g-tech and the time slip was .06 seconds. The mph is always high due to the g-tech measuring it right at the 1/4 mark and the track averages it out over the last 60' (?).

Before you spend your money take a look at the new G-Tech and at the Tazzo.

I opted for the Tazzo and am satisfied with it but that was before the new G-Tech unit was released and I never got a chance to play with the new G-Tech model.

I ran my g-tech pro at the strip. The ET was pretty darn close. Typically the g-tech was about a 1/10th slow compared to the timers. The MPH was off by a good margin. Easily a consistant 5 mph faster than the strip timers. It's cool looking at a 0-60 of 3.2 seconds. ;)

That's about the same as we found. It's a neat little device... the new one looks even cooler.

Everytime I have tried it at the track, it is out by less than 0.10. Mph is high of course, but an amazing tuning tool to have none the less.
