I have a oil pressure and water temp. gauge to install. Where is the best place to pick up these gauges off of the engine?

coolant... temp next to the thermostat pointing twards the radiator.

oil... make a "T" fitting and put it where the factory one is. you will need the factory sending unit so the engine will shut off when there is no oil pressure.

What year is your car? If its an 84/85 then you will have remove your thermostat housing and remove the idiot temp light sender thats right below the housing on the intake but if its an 86/87 it is where mybuick stated.
