Getting big air in a 18 wheeler video!

This happened today on the east side of Indiana. The driver and his 7 year old son survived with minor injuries. Don't pay any attention to the time stamp on the bottom of the video.

I drove across that overpass leaving Greensburg Thursday afternoon at 3pm just after it happened. I thought the truck had gone too fast around the curve of the onramp and slid off into the grass. It was carrying a load of bricks and incredibly he only lost about 1/2 the load; the rest were still strapped down. Knowing now that he got airborne and exploded adds alot of wow to what even I saw.

John, the news said a car tried to merge over into his lane and he tried to avoid it and went off roading.

The fact he cleared two lanes with all 18 wheels was worth an 11 out of 10 to me.

I've had a CDL for 40 years driving on and off. He was trying to avoid someone and almost killed his son and possibly other innocents? Sorry when my family was with me and you drove stupid, you die. My 80,000 will make your 4,000 look like a crushed soda can and I will walk away. If I can avoid you within reason and not wreck fine but; If I have to choose...You loose!

When I worked for the hospital we had a guy in ICU who rolled his class A trying to avoid a car and killed his wife. He committed suicide as soon as he was well enough to. People think big trucks are just stretch Corvettes.

Before someone gets their panties in a wad about bad truck drivers google truck related crashes. Yes there are bad pro drivers but big rig crashes are way down and car accidents are up over the last 25-30 years.

Our news said a 7 y.o. boy was in the cab. Bet he won't be forgetting that ride for awhile! Glad they both came out w/o injury, my back hurt just watching that...

I agree.
I’ve never understood how people wreck their cars avoiding animals and such. I’ll hit em with the pit maneuver before I go off roading.
If it comes to them or me, it’ll be them!
