have the TR guys been hanging out afterward?

Like I said, I hit the show once and from what I recall, it was a VERY early day for us. So I'm thinking about hitting the show a little later if people will still be hanging out. I'll be bringing at least two of my cars and possibly an additional 1-3 other tr's

Maybe you guys could go for a drive afterwards.....Id bring my car, but its still Flinstone powered ;)

Would anybody be interested in Donut Derelict's at about 6:00 A.M. or whenever on Saturday, 03-17-2007, which is a week from tomorrow, and then maybe a drive to Ruby's in Redondo for breakfast or an early lunch?
I am sure if you guys come all the way up from San Diego we will hang somewhere of choice long enough to make your visit worthwhile. Just a thought.
There is also a Ruby's heading back down the coast a ways but I have never been there yet, don't know how decent parking is, how the chances are of getting breakfast for a large group are, & so forth. Ruby's at Redondo has an exceptionally large safe parking lot & good food. Waitreses aren't too bad either. My choice would be Donut Derelict's on the 17th and then Ruby's at Redondo for breakfast & hang out. Just a thought though. It would be good to see the San Diego clan again. Hopefully, none of them will break their cars racing on the way up or back down.

GARY....

You gonna go tomorrow? Is anyone going tomorrow? I think Brent was kicking around the idea.....

Can't go tomorrow, I am off to the Costa Mesa Fairgrounds for the Goodguys car show just to see what's there. I will be going to Donut Derelicts a week from tomorrow, though.

Mustangs with x-pipes and flowmasters sound horrible! A Dr. Gas X-pipe and a magnaflow catback...now thats a whole other story. And yes, there are alot of jackass mustang guys, but the entire time I had my cobra, I ran into quite a few from the GM camp.

Andrew and i went to the show at Irvine this past Saturday AM.. It was a nice little show, with some REALLY nice high end cars BUT Irvine PD were sharks.. When we got off the 405 to the ford design building (only 2 miles if that) we saw about 7 cops just hiding or sitting on the roads around the area.. i pulled into the parking lot (with a 07 lambo behind me) and Irvine PD lite me up.. his reasoning was "no front tag".. well the Lambo and 95% of other cars didn't have front tags, BUT i'm not rich so i guess that was the reason.. Well, i had to open my hood and explain to him why i changed the cat back system and why i had a alum radiator installed.. you would think that i was a major street racer in my wifes 300zx :).. well, i didn't get any tickets but i was PISSED due to every other car there had the same infraction but never got pulled over.. I filed a Complant with the city of Irvine and had a 2 hour meeting with the captain of the station that day. his answer, "we only focus on imports and thats what we are trained on". Well every exotic that i saw had aftermarket parts installed too, so they should be trained on those too because they are a dime a dozen out here in SoCal. So i aranged a meeting with the chief of police..

Great Turnout Everyone?

Great turnout at DD on Saturday March 10th

Had to be close to if not more than 10 or so GN's / T-Types, and even a GNX (from San Diego)

Last time I saw so many TR's was at Bob's get together over a year ago

The only bad part was I did not bring my camera so i'm hoping that some of the other guys grabbed some pictures that they can post on the forum

We had almost a whole row of turbo / supercharged cars

Including a Twin Turbo Porsche, a TT Supra, 2 GMC Syclones & a Typhoon (from SoCal Sy/Ty Club), a Turbo MR2, a new 07 Supercharged Callaway Corvette, etc., etc., etc.)

Most of the guys went out for breakfast and a cruise up PCH afterwards (a little foggy at first but cleared up nice down in Dana Point)

Lou was there with the Stage 2 car, Morgan stopped by for awhile, and we ran into SpoolFool as everyone was leaving

The Santa Ana Hooters Girls were milling about taking pictures next to the cars (they wanted to do the lay on the hood shot, but nice a$$ or not, they're not scratching up my hood any worse than it already is...lol)

That's all I need to explain to my wife when i get home....Really Dear......granted those do look like well formed BUTT Cheek prints on my car hood, but I was at an early morning car show all morning long with a bunch of car nuts...:D

(PS......to those that did take pictures......make sure you leave mine the hell out of the group you post....lol)

Maybe we will have as much fun next time at DD

Lets see if we can get 15 cars there on the 17th

Later everyone

Ray

Wow, I really feel bad about missing that. The other show was pretty good, but not 1 single turbo brick or tta there, as I figured that there wouldn't be any or 1 maybe at most. Lots of nice cars, though. Hopefully, there will be a good showing this next Sat., 17th, as I will be there for sure. Sorry to have missed that. Surely God was punishing me for looking at other cars. Who all's planning on going this next Sat?

Anybody down for Donut Derelict's this coming Sat, 03-17-2007?
I really don't care for underthehood inspections, and I don't welcome tickets for no front license plates either. I think that I had better stay with DD's.
