I am switching a GM 1985 car from a computer control carb & Hei to Non CC.

I have a bare GM HEI distributor from the late 70's. It needs module, advance springs, cap & coil.
Would any of these parts be usable from the CC Distributor?
What really makes the difference between a CC & NoN CC HEI?

What engine?.

A CCC distributor has no vacuum, or mechanical advance parts in it, since the computer controlled the timing.

The engine is a 305 chevy.

Correct on the vacum. my NON CC distributor will need to be hooked to a vacum source once I make the swap.

I did that on my ElCamino. I thought the only computer control was on the carburetor as linked to the 02 sensor. Not sure, it was 6 years ago and many miles away. HEI distributors were a dime-a-dozen awhile back. I would just use another complete one from a regular Chevy V8 engine and put some lighter springs in it.

There were a few odd ball early ecms. CCC is Computer Controlled Carburetor. There were a few truck ecms that were ignition only. I don't recall any carb only ecms, but it's been decades since I was heavily into that stuff.

Crane makes an adjustable limit vac canister as well.
