I just received a renewal notice today from GMHTP. It says that my account is "seriously past due", and that they will be "sending my account to a collections agency" if my payment is not received immediately. It also says that this is the sixth notice that they have sent me. Six notices? That is a year's worth of issues. What in the world are they thinking treating a loyal customer (since1998) like this? The subject of the notice they sent me is "Delinquent Credit Obligation". Last time I checked, I had to prepay for my subscription. I am not at all obligated to spend my hard earned money with them. Instead of sending me a reminder to please continue to patronize their business, they send me a letter trying to bully me into thinking that I owe them something. This is an outrage! Too bad that my wife has already sent them a check. I will not continue my subscription. Sorry for the rant, but I feel like I have been taken advantage of. You all had better watch them, you dont want a blemish on your credit report because of some BS like this.

I can see why your upset. I think GMHTP is worth the time of a phone call to straighten it out. It is probably just a human error somewhere down the line plus you can give them a piece of your mind. I continue to patronize the mag cause I am thankful for even the few TR articles. Chris Endres is a good writer. JMO

I really do enjoy GMHTP, that is why I am so upset. I look forward to every issue, and have been a loyal customer for years. I feel that they can come up with a better way to encourage readers to continue subscribing than to threaten their credit ratings. In the mean time I will be reading the magazine for free at the newstand and only buying the ones with the interesting Buick articles.

i dont get GMHTP no more because it was all mainly f-bodies plus it was a little high in price for i think 6 issues? o well my 2 cents

nothing against f-bodies though i like them!

The people that work on the magazine have nothing to do with the bill collecting. Different entities. Good luck with gettign it settled.

Like me. It seems they only have a really good turbo Buick article once or twice a year. I'd rather pay the high newsstand issue price for single copies than have a big pile of mags that are of no use to me. They sell these where I work so free reading is something I take advantage of frequently. Besides, you want to see exactly what you're paying for before you buy it.
