I was on my way to work about a block from my house when it shut off. I tried to start it and nothing, just kept cranking. When I first turn the key I get fuel pressure but when I shut the car off the pressure drops very quickly. Also there is a very strong odor of gas when I try to start it, cranking it for just a few seconds. I read on the turbo regal web site that it could be fuel regulator, injectors, or fuel pump. Does anyboby know what I should look at first?

how many miles on your motor? i had the same thing happen to me, i was driving and the motor just shut off. i had spark and fuel, but still no start. it ended up being my timing chain. good luck with the diagnosis. -caleb

The car has 160k, I dont hear any noise when I crank it over. I took the valve cover off and the rocker are moving. So I know the timing chain is'nt broken but may jumped a couple of teeth?

thats the same thing that happened to mine. GM made the cam gear with nylon teeth, so my guess is that it skipped. i would check that out. mine did it with only 70k on the motor. even if its not the problem, thats one thing your gonna wanna do with 160K miles. -caleb
