I am trying to get the wet look out of my paint job . My body guy thinks that the stock color even in a two step process will not have the wet look because of the gm color mix . He said some black colors just dont have the same depth as others . He suggest that a pick a different black than the GM colorto spray my car .
Can I please get some opinions . How did some owners arrive at the shine with the stock paint color .
There is a GN that no matter how much I wax and buff he out shines me . I want to get him this summer
Please all suggestions and thoughts

Gm tends to have brown in there black. Infiniti has maroon in its black.
Just get him to use the base black with no other colors to change the hue. You cant any blacker than that.
Car needs to be blocked VERY thoroughly and several times for a black car to appear straight with no wanys, etc
dark primer, 3 coats of base and 3 of clear as a minimum, cut and buffed will be like glass if the guy has any talent at all

He said the same thing about the brown in the black . Are you saying to have him use a regular GM base black or just state use a base black and he will understand .

First Thank You for your advice .
Do you think it will hurt the value of the car if I dont repaint it the stock color ? I bought this car to enjoy but I wouldnt think twice about selling it if the price was right . The car is all stock and I want to keep it that way so I struggle with using a better black.
