I used to be able to get to there site at "Griner Engineering". Now I get the " can't find the web site" message. Any one know how I can get to there site? I know there are 2 or 3 different styles you can buy for a turbo 400. Id like to read the info on each and make a decision on which one to order. Thanks Larry:confused:

griner racing.com is the site, but i couldnt get on it when i tried.steve makes great valve bodies and we are a distributor and we stock them for the 400 so if you cant find him call us.

Chris....presently I have a 400 with a TCI brake. The solenoid has given me problems in the past and I'd like to switch over to the Griner.

Question......

What parts would I have to get from you to make the conversion?

Thanks, Chris

you would need to change the valve body complete.however we can set you up with a solenoid that is a lot more reliable than the one you are using now.i know many people who have had trouble with the solenoid and upgraded to the one we push getting rid of the no brake apply when hot or after 1 use/ or it stops working complaints that surround the solenoid in question.the t brake valve body from tci seems to work well besides this, but in my opinion the 1/2 shift is too sharp, and the 2/3 not sharp enough, something of concern in a th 400 where sprags flip and direct clutches fail when not calibrated properly.

Ah damn, I was hoping it might be less than the complete VB.

As I said, in the past I had trouble....this 'noid seems to working just fine. And one good thing about TCI is they stood behind their 'noid each time and gave me a new replacement.

Thanks for replying.

Chris, is there more than one style of griner brakes? I'll be running 800-825 hp- not sure which torque converter I'll be using yet. Thanks Larry

yes ther are 3 and one features a safety neutral and one is spragless .you need not worry about these, just the regular style billet aluminum will be the thing you need .our part #is 400BPT .
