You betcha!

Headed out this Saturday by way of St. Louis. Stopping off to visit family and friends. About a 4 hour detour. Got the digital camera and digital camcorder all ready to go. Spare parts in the trunk, 100 miles of free towing on the AAA card, money in the pocket for parts I don't need but can't resist. I'll event buy the event T-shirt. 23rd trip to the nats! I gotta get a life.

No car

That brings up a good point. Even if you can't bring your car there is still so much to do you don't have time to get bored. If some of you guys are in doubt about going because your car is down or not ready you should still come. Watch the racing, take in the show, buy some parts, take the Holley carb plant or Corvette plant tours, go through the Corvette museum. From Ft. Worth it's only 12 hours. The 25th is not the one to miss.

Exactly what Lance said. We are taking the Corvette Assembly plant tour Thurs morning. Usually when I'm at the track with the car, I have very little time to watch the action....and that's exactly what I'm going to do while I'm there...sit back, enjoy the drags, and sip on a cold one :)

Results

We had a great time and qualified 12th fastest with a 10.42 amoung a field of 24 TSM racers. John actually ran a 10.31 which would have put him 8th fastest on a test and tune run but that didn't count because it was not officially the qualifying run. Not bad at all for just firing up the motor 2 days earlier and not even driving it around the block for a shack down run because of a pan leak and a turbo flange leak. We actually fixed the leaks on the trailor in BG. He got knocked out the second round by the #1 qualifier and only lost by 2 tenths of a second. Hole Shot John put down an awesome show as he almost took out the #1 qualifier with a another 10.31.

It was a great event.
Hot Rod TV and My Classic Car was there also. Not sure when it will be showing. Race Jace was interviewed by Hot Rod TV right next to our pit.

Had a blast and it was great to see everyone...
