head porting question

Me and a buddy on here are porting his heads now and i was thinking that if i only clean up the intake bowl and runners so i dont lean it out any , then i can cut up the exhuast side right because it wont lean it out like the intake side.


what iam asking is , can i cut the exhuast side up all i want because it wont cause it to lean out like porting the intake side.

you can lean/richen it out with redoing the chip injector pulse width.

If you are going to port them you will get the most gains from porting the bowl areas and a good 3 angle Valve Job. Be prepared to spend some time on them. I spent over 20 hours porting my first set and they turned out pretty nice.
