Headers:Gasket or no gasket???

I took off my driver's side stock header to have you-know-what fixed, and i noticed that there was no gasket to be found. Did it completely burn up, or was there never one to begin with? Thanks again, guys.

no gasket, just make sure the header flange is still flat and file if necessary. I used high temp orange and no leaks.
