heads and alky

I am going to upgrade the heads soon either GN1s or irons from Champion. Is the aluminum worth the price over the irons? I am not wanting to upgrade the turbo and I am hoping the 009s are enough. I will not be running race gas just the alky.

This is more of a tech question, but my understanding is aluminum is not necessary until you hit the tens.
Lots of guys running tens with ported irons

I was just wondering if the aluminum would do better than the iron with the alky setup? Maybe be able to run more boost with it.

Well aluminum heads flow better and will make more hp, but IMO not enough to justify the addtl cost.

Take $600 and have your heads ported and you will get 75% of the power gain that a $1600 set of aluminum heads will give.
