Heater Control Valve Question

I have searched a bunch of posts but can't seem to find one that might tell me how to orient a plastic after-market heater control valve. I'm not sure what side is up or down because it's a different design than the original metal one. Does it even matter? Any pics would be much appreciated. Thanks

This is what the replacement looks like.

install it with the vacuum port connection pointed down.

Make sure your hoses are long enough and your motor mounts are good. I broke that plastic valve on my car with an aggressive launch.
