Heater fan probs on Maxima, anyone know?

95 Maxima...only hi speed fan works position #4. 1-3 do not. Any ideas? I was told it could be a resistor under the passenger side of the dash. I've got it all apart but can't find any resistor up there. Anyone familar w/Maxis?
