i think i poped a head gasket.
havnt had time to check it i left the car at a friends house close to where i was. so it went like a 1/2 mile on just idle.
what do these motors do when this happens
lots of stuff to fix or just gaskets and go?
thanks for any info

When I got my GN i accdently put 87 gas into it (cause some jacka$$ switched the pumps on me) <-- my story and i am sticking with it. I drove it around just to burn it out. I told the guy's at Mizzi automotive in farfield ca what i did and boy did i get an ass chewing for that one. They told me that cheep gas will cause the head gasket to go due to detnation and he showed me some examples of blown head gaskets from crapy. It depends on where the gasket blows out from. If it blows from the cylnder to the water jacket you will get water in your engine and you will see water come out of your exhaust It will look like white smoke (I had an 84 buick centry dessil with a cracked head that leaked water into the engine) or it could blow between the cylnders causing a hot spot in the engine and its possable to lock up the piston and crack the crank shaft. You have to pull the heads off and get them cleaned up and repace the head gaskets. I do know that its a lot of work. I am not an expert on GN's but i hope that this helps a little
