They are available in various pressure ratings in normally open and closed configuration. They are between $27-30

Just bought one the other day at NAPA for about $25.00. It's adjustable from 4-12psi I believe. I don't know the part number off hand but just pop in and tell them what you are looking for and I'm sure they can help you.

Hobbs switches suck.

PM HurstGN about getting one of the adjustable switches we used for the alcohol systems.

You want NOS part # 15680. It is about $37 but worth it. I have had mine for a year and it works great. Comes at 15psi, and goes from about 8psi to about 24psi.

Get a Mighty Vac, and setting pressure switches is so easy you will have dozens on your car:D

JayC,
just curious what is wrong with the Hobbs switches? Have not used any yet, still deciding about the system to build.
What is meant by "PM HurstGN about getting one of the adjustable switches we used for the alcohol systems"? Do you sell the pressure switches?
What type of nozzles can you recommend for a simple but reliable setup? Are the jets part of the nozzles or sep items?

Thanks
paul

In my early days of testing when I first started making alcohol systems, I found Hobb switches to be of poor quality. They failed regularly and the set point seemed to vary somewhat. This was about 8 years ago so quality could be better now but I ended up using another switch which does the same thing as a Hobbs but is of much better quality. Gold plated contacts, guarenteed for 1,000,000 cycles, etc.

I dont sell them anymore. Dan at OGS Distributing probably has some, though. If you private message him, he can hook you up. His forum name is HurstGN

R-R, send me an email regarding the price of your switches? I am interested in one if I decide against the NOS switch. What is the adjustable pressure range? Are they manually adjustable with a screwdriver? Thanks

MY HOBBS SWITCH HAS BEEN ON MY CAR FOR OVER THREE YEARS AND MANY ACTIVATIONS IN 100,000 MILES WITHOUT A PROBLEM. I'D SAY THAT DISCOUNTS THAT THEORY. ;)

Hobbs switches(marketed through Stewart / Warner) are very well made and a quality pressure switch in the industry.
I think the only problem you can have with them is when people want to use them in their circuits improperly, such as running without relays and running voltage through the hobbs with substantial current that is required to run high pressure inline fuel pumps ect.
I have heard of no failures when the switch has been used properly in the grounding side of the circuit where the hobbs supplied the ground signal for the relay.

Damn Hotmail! I sent you (and several others who asked) email and pics. I'll try again.
