My friend is getting ready to do his and my turn is coming up soon too. We both have Innovative Turbo Systems gates. There's a port on the top and on the bottom. I have a diagram but it really didn't help me out too much. Do I still use the stock "Y" with restrictor? Where are the vacuum/ boost sources supposed to come from?

Another thing, since my car is a hotair, I could install the wastegate under the hood on the uppipe to the turbo. Anyone see any disadvantage mounting it on the uppipe instead of the crossover?

Anyone? My gate is mounted but I have a top and bottom ports on the wastegate. I have a line going to the top only but I hit 15psi at half pedal.

Figure i would post it here first before making a new thread.
Dont want to hijack either.

But i also need the Vaccum diagram for an 87GN, some lines are missing and/or in the wrong spot, and would like to get everything into shape before hitting the track.

Anyone with this saved on thier computer, could you please post a link or send an e-mail ( rad69er@yahoo.com )

TIA
Will

Any chance u know where I can find the whole diagram for the vaccum system?

Internet searches lead me nowhere.

Manifold PSI teed off after turbo pressure port, this goes to the bottom port, install a PSI regulator on other branch of the tee and out of that goes to the top port.

Crumby picture, but you will see the tee and from there it goes down to the lower port on the WG and continues into the car to the control then comes back to the top port.

Thanks, I never would've figured it out. One more question, is the restrictor needed with the external?

No. It is not neccesary.

remember, with the regulator turned all the way down, you will be running on the wastegate spring. I.E. 20# spring, should yield about 20 psi of boost. You need to know your spring psi, you cannot go lower than that!!
